The Week Magazine US App Reviews

Convenient but not reliable

I subscribe to the week and bought the paper and online versions so I could read it on a timely manner while traveling. It worked very well for while. Then for about 5 months I could not download any issue on any of my devices. A couple of weeks ago it started working again and I have been enjoying the app. Not sure though I will be the extra fee for online of reliability does not improve.

The Week is the greatest! Service not as much.

Ive been reading The Week for years now and thoroughly enjoy the mix of news and other features. When the electronic version came out, I started using it when I traveled...even in China. At first it was a bit buggy and it still occasionally shuts down and I have to reboot. I was more upset when I discovered that the e version was now extra cost, but Customer Service neglected to tell me. After loosing the e version and a difficult process of getting re-installed, Im back enjoying this magazine in written and e version. The organization needs to fix their internal and customer communication issues, and perhaps fix "five" as the new ten in their daily offering, but the magazine cant be beat.

The Week

Longtime subscriber who appreciates the political balance of the content, in which only the cover art reflects a consistent bias.

The weekm

I have been reading The Week now for several years....only magazine I read cover to cover.....short but very interesting articles.....w liberal and conservative takes on topical issues

Tech problems

The app is always freezing, customer support says they are having tech problems. Drives me crazy. I love the magazine and other magazines work on my iPad. I dont understand why the Week is so difficult to turn the pages. I like reading it on the app because I get it sooner and it is easier to read the type when it is white on black paper.

Great summary of world events

Enjoy this magazine. To the point and summarize with various journalists words. App lacks a few things that magazine has but overall a great read. I look forward to it each week.

Good App and Magazine

Ive been a subscriber for many years, and very satisfied with the app and the magazine. The app provides a good alternative to reading the paper copy. One item to improve its they way articles span pages. The app does not insert page breaks very well, often resulting in just a few words spilling over to the next page. Also, the magazines (websites) online support could be improved with easier, intuitive interface and features. Overall, I am satisfied.

Love the mag; app not so much

Stopped downloading while I was traveling and was advised to delete and reinstall. Seems better now but not as reliable as other subscriptions. But Ill keep trying as I love the comprehensive coverage, the layout and the timeliness.

iPad version is bad

I really enjoy the magazine from cover to cover. The art on the cover is always great. The upgraded app for my iPad is very disappointing. I have even phoned for tech support. It freezes often and I cant swipe to turn the page. Before the "upgrade" it worked beautifully.

Im hooked!

I read The Week cover to cover the day it arrives. When traveling I devour it online. Great mag.

Excels

The very best news magazine. Concise, informative and fun. Trust me youre gonna like this.

The one publication I cherish for balance and variety

The Week is my most valuable news source. It covers the gamut of subjects . . . Ranging from the latest political news to theatre and film to outstanding homes for sale that were built next to lakes between 1900 and 1920. All this is made especially valuable because The Week cites the reporting and the editorial opinions of a variety of points of few. Its the only magazine I trust to ultimately give me unbiased information.

Please fix

One of the benefits of the using the iPad to read news articles is that you can pinch to enlarge the type making it so easy to read. The current app wont allow enlargement past a point where the social media icons block the type. Why not put the icons on the header out of the way but still access able.

Best News Magazine for the 21st Century

A compilation of the best articles and opinion pieces from U.S. and international sources. A must read for any informed citizen.

Love the mag hate the app

From a content point of view The Week is fantastic. It compliments the Economist very well. However the app is horrible. It is the only magazine app that constantly freezes up on me.

Great

Every American must read this each week!!! However the articles are unbiased and the truth might be too much for them.

Good read, but tech issues

Love the mag, but app crashes a lot. Also, doesnt remember your place so not conducive to going in & out of different apps ...takes time to reopen app & find your place every time

Deleting single issues

Been back and forth with customer service. They assume too much and cannot provide a simple answer on how to delete a single issue. The magazine is great, but I read my issues out of order and theres no way that I can find to delete a specific issue. I got my subscription through the magazine but they seem to think I got it through iTunes. All I want to know is if it is possible to delete a single issue.

Best Magazine

I love The Week. It is the best magazine for real useful information I have ever come across. I love the real estate section. It gives me all the information I need without overwhelming me.

Great publication for busy people

At last I found a magazine which gives me well rounded information in brief once a week.
